Evangelia Petridou is an Assistant Professor in Public Administration, affiliated with the Risk and Crisis Research Center at Mid Sweden University. Evangelia’s research focuses on policy studies, with a specific theoretical interest in theories of the policy process, networks and entrepreneurial agency. Her empirical interests center on crisis and emergency management. She defended her dissertation titled “Political Entrepreneurship in Swedish: Towards a (Re) Theorization of Entrepreneurial Agency”in January 2017 at Mid Sweden University. She has continued to theoretically and empirically explore entrepreneurship in policy and politics. Evangelia has also published in Policy Studies, European Policy Analysis, Journal of Contingencies and Emergency Management, Politics and Policy, and Policy and Society.

Evangelia was the co-editor of “Entrepreneurship in the Polis: Understanding Political Entrepreneurship” (Ashgate, 2015) and the special issue in Safety Science titled “Risk and Uncertainty— From Critical Thinking to Practical Impact (2020). She is also the principal investigator for the project”Putting out Fires—A Multiple Streams Analysis”, using the multiple streams approach to understand policy change at the local level in Sweden. The project is financed by the Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development (FORMAS). She is a reviewer for a host of journals as well as FORMAS. She was the recipient of the Royal Skytteanska Society (a Royal Swedish Scientific Academy) and was prized for accomplished junior researcher at Mid Sweden University (2020).
